Important Information for a Smooth Season!
Welcome to all our new players and parents! This message covers some key points to ensure a great season for everyone.
Safety First!
- No Dogs: City of Hollywood ordinances prohibit dogs in athletic facilities.
- Lightning Safety: We follow the ThorGuard system. When it detects potential lightning, a strobe light will activate, and all activities will cease. Seek shelter in a car or designated lightning shelter immediately.
- Parent Zones: For safety and focus, parents are requested to stay in designated parent zones during practices and games. More info on field layouts: link to Hollywood FC Fields page.
Staying Informed:
- DOWNLOAD PLAYMETRICS !!! - https://www.hollywoodfc.com/playmetrics
- Rainouts: We use PlayMetrics for field closures. Please avoid phone calls about practice cancellations. We have a dedicated team, but the volume of calls during rain makes it difficult to answer everyone. Check PlayMetrics – we only cancel as a last resort or when advised by the City.
- League Game Schedules: Schedules depend on your team's league:
- EDP League: Started, some games played, schedules uploaded in PlayMetrics.
- TFL League: Starts this weekend for some teams, schedules uploaded today.
- GHSL League: Starts potentially this weekend. Schedules are still being finalized. Be prepared to play if both teams agree.
- We'll notify you when uniforms are ready – no need to call.
Player Requirements:
- Proof of Birth: Upload your child's birth certificate or passport to PlayMetrics for game eligibility.
- Player Photo: Upload a photo to PlayMetrics for player pass generation (needed for games).
- Player Payments: Ensure player fees are current to participate in games.
