Competitive Team Tryouts

To be considered for a competitive team for our 2024/2025 season, please complete the Tryouts Registration form below, and a Coach from your relevant age group will contact you.

Forward-thinking soccer clubs compete in various leagues to ensure the highest level of integrity and competition for all players and levels. Hollywood FC competes in almost every League in Florida.

STEP 1

PRE-REGISTER

FOR TRYOUTS

Player MUST pre-register BEFORE COMING OUT, even if a "coach invited you"
NO EXCEPTIONS
Hollywood FC tryouts are FREE

STEP 2

ATTEND

TRYOUTS

Coach will contact you with the date and time to come out
Must attend at least one tryout
Bring cleats, shin-guards, water, ball

STEP 3

THE OFFER

Offers are time-sensitive; register urgently
Declined and no-response spots will be offered to others
CHECK YOUR SPAM; emails come from Hollywood FC

Does my child need to try out?

Tryouts are required for any new players joining an ELITE, PREMIER or SELECT team!

(Returning players may be invited without having to re-tryout for their existing team)

If you do not make an ELITE team, you will be evaluated for a PREMIER or SELECT team, and if, in the coach's opinion, your athlete needs to develop more skills before joining a competitive team, you will be invited to play on a GRAY/BLACK recreational team.

Some kids are too young for Tryouts: PK Soccer is for 2 and 3-year-olds (born 2021-2022) – NO TRYOUTS
Recreational Soccer welcomes players of all skill levels 4, 5 and 6-year-olds NO TRYOUTS, Register for GRAY Team (with weekend games) or Academy Training Only Program (no games)
When everyone plays, we all WIN!
If at any time during the season you feel like challenging yourself please contact one of our Directors for a late tryout (space permitting).

When are Tryouts for 2024/25 Seasonal Year?

Pursuant to FYSA Rule 401.6, the FYSA Board of Directors determined that tryouts for the 2024/2025 season can be held no earlier than the first Monday in May, 2024 - which is 5/6/2024.

Hollywood FC will hold tryouts until all teams are full. Do not delay your tryout or registration so that your child does not miss their spot on the team.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY

Our commitment is to place players based on overall individual and team development needs
To be considered for a team for our 2024/2025 season which runs from August 2024 thru June 20254, you must pre-register for tryouts in advance

BOYS

At this time we are looking to declare at least 24 boys teams that require tryouts.

After pre-registering you will receive an automated confirmation email.
As we get closer to May 6th tryouts you will get another email advising you or day/time to come to the field.
If you do not hear from anyone or receive any emails or text within 3 days please contact Coach Tom - Executive Director by email.

GIRLS

At this time we are looking to declare at least 10 girls teams that require tryouts. We strongly feel that every girls needs to get evaluated before choosing a team as the soccer landscape changes annually.

After pre-registering you will receive an automated confirmation email.
As we get closer to May 6th tryouts you will get another email advising you or day/time to come to the field.
If you do not hear from anyone or receive any emails or text within 2 days please contact Coach Tom - Executive Director by email.
